Research Interests
My research is part of the Kuwait Climate, Water and Vegetation Initiative. The objective of this initiative is to gain a comprehensive understanding of Kuwait's natural environment with respect to the interaction between hydrology, climate, vegetation and human activities.
In order to examine the interaction between hydrology and vegetation a physically-based, distributed hydrologic model (tRIBS) coupled with a dynamic vegetation model (VEGGIE) will be used. My research uses these models to examine the influence of small scale soil processes on vegetation persistence and patterns.
